Golka scores twice for Heartlanders Saturday vs. Walleye

Coralville, Iowa – Cole Golka netted his first two ECHL goals in the second period of a 5-2 loss to the Toledo Walleye Saturday at Xtream Arena. Golka scored at 2:52 of the second, assisted by Joe Widmar on a left-circle wrist shot that fooled Billy Christopoulous (win, 26 saves). Next, Widmar dished again to Golka who attempted a turn-around shot that tied the game at two. Golka signed with the Heartlanders Oct. 27.Toledo’s Marcus Vela scored the go-ahead goal for the Walleye at 14:56 of the third and the sealing empty-net goal in the final minute.
