Coralville, IA – The Iowa Heartlanders completed their largest come-from-behind win in franchise history, beating the Toledo Walleye, 3-2, Saturday night at Xtream Arena. The Heartlanders scored three unanswered goals in the third period to complete their second come-from-behind win in a row against the Western Conference’s top team.Yuki Miura led the third-period charge scoring twice, including the eventual game-winner. Trevin Kozlowski was dominant in net saving 36 for the win.Miura’s game-winning, power-play goal came at net front through the legs of Toledo’s Kaden Fulcher at 6:07 of the third. Miura and Joe Widmar ran a give-and-go in the middle slot, good for Miura’s sixth goal of the year, and Widmar’s seventh assist.Cole Golka tied the game, 2-2, at 4:05 of the final period, on a two-on-one break. With a shimmy shake in the right circle, Golka found the top left corner of the net to bring the fans at Xtream Arena to their feet.Miura’s first goal, a snipe from the left circle, sparked the Heartlanders comeback, coming less than a minute into the third.The Walleye opened the scoring 25 seconds into the game on Conlan Keenan’s toe-drag goal around the right post. They extended their lead halfway through the second thanks to John Albert.
