Indianapolis, IN – The Iowa Heartlanders, proud ECHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild and Iowa Wild, oppose the Indy Fuel for the second straight game Friday at 6:00 p.m.Iowa and Indy played Wednesday at Xtream Arena and Friday wraps up the home-and-home set between the clubs. The teams have faced off seven times already this season.The Heartlanders have at least a point in three of five games (2-2-1-0), dropping, 4-1, in the team’s last game.Iowa wraps up the weekend on Saturday at 6:15 p.m. at Toledo.Tickets are available for all Heartlanders home games by visiting iowaheartlanders.com/tickets. Friday marks the second to last time Iowa visits the Farmers Coliseum this season. The Landers’ final road game at Indy is also the team’s final road game of the regular season Apr. 8.Multiple Heartlanders have scored at least twice against Indy; Tommy Parrottino, Tyler Busch and Clayton Phillips all top Iowa with two goals in the series.Fuel veteran Alex Wideman is best among all skaters with six assists and nine points. Defenseman Andrew Perrott is the most-prolific blueline points producer in the season series, scoring two goals and  six points.Iowa and Indy play three of their final four series games over the next month. All-Time SeriesThe Heartlanders are 4-9-2-0 in the all-time series. Three of those four wins have come at Xtream Arena.This season, Iowa picked up a 3-1 win against the Fuel at Xtream Arena on Jan. 7. Clayton Phillips scored his second goal of the season and Corbin Kaczperski blocked 38 shots.Indy has won 11 games ever against Iowa; amazingly, they have trailed in seven of those games before coming from behind to win.Fuel Incredible TurnaroundUnder the instruction of first-year Head Coach Duncan Dalmao, the Fuel are already nearing their franchise record for wins in a season (37 wins in 2020-21).Last season, Indy finished with 34 wins and 73 points.Indy ranks first in the Central Division with 30 wins and 62 points.Dalmao took over for the final month of last season as interim Head Coach, replacing Doug Christiansen. Since the change, Indy is 41-20-2-0, the best record of any team in the Central Division in that span.

Feb. 17 – Feb. 19 is the start of Iowa’s Cancer Awareness Series, honoring those that have fought, are currently fighting or have battled cancer. Specialty theme jerseys will be worn for the weekend and are available for purchase inclusive of a postgame meet-and-greet on the DASH App. The games against Wheeling are Fri., Feb. 17 at 7:05 p.m., Sat. Feb. 18 at 7:05 p.m. and Sun., Feb. 19 at 2:05 p.m.The Heartlanders continue the home stand Feb. 22, Feb. 24 and Feb. 25 vs. Indy for Iowa’s Diversity Awareness Series, celebrating how sports bring us together.
