Coralville, Iowa – The Iowa Heartlanders lost Wednesday at Xtream Arena, 7-0, to the Cincinnati Cyclones. Cincinnati goalie Mark Sinclair notched his league-leading fourth shutout of the season, stopping all 41 shots faced. Iowa will host Indy Friday at 7:05 p.m. and Kalamazoo Saturday at 7:05 p.m.Cincinnati opened the scoring 6:43 into the first period when Steven MacLean fired from the top right circle and Josh Passolt tipped it in to put the Cyclones up, 1-0. In the second, Luka Burzan scored his first goal, tapping home the rebound to put Cincinnati up, 2-0. Louie Caporusso, Matt Berry, and Kohen Olischefski all scored as well in the period to give them a 5-0 lead heading into the third. Burzan scored his second goal of the game 2:20 into the period on a shot from the slot that bounced off a to put the Cyclones up, 6-0. Matej Pekar tallied one of his own late in the third to make it, 7-0. Hanson finished the night with 32 saves between the pipes for Iowa. Box Score
