Heartlanders hire Erin Pottebaum and Phill Seebeck to team’s front office

Coralville, Iowa – The Iowa Heartlanders, proud ECHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild and Iowa Wild, have added Erin Pottebaum and Phill Seebeck to the team’s front office. Pottebaum has been named Director of Corporate Partnerships & Community Engagement and Seebeck has been named Director of Sales. 

Pottebaum will play a pivotal role in the development and expansion of relationships with corporate partners and organizations within the Corridor, with an emphasis on expanding the Heartlanders’ impact on the local community and eastern Iowa.

Seebeck will oversee the team’s ticket sales outreach and develop strategies that will help the Heartlanders continue the strong growth of their fanbase.

Erin Pottebaum joins the Heartlanders from the Iowa City Area Development Group

Phill Seebeck: “I’m extremely grateful to Matt Getz and the entire front office with the Iowa Heartlanders for this wonderful opportunity. Matt and I share similar values about the approach necessary to help take this team to the next level. I look forward to working with our community and building the fanbase to develop and maintain strong and long-lasting relationships that will create continued success for the team. One of my top goals is to make sure every fan that comes to a game will say, 'We're looking forward to our next visit to the Xtream Arena.’”

Heartlanders President Matt Getz: “We are thrilled to have Erin and Phill joining us. Both have been incredibly active - both personally and professionally - in efforts to improve the quality of life in the Corridor over the past decade and have developed extensive networks and relationships because of their involvement. Their addition to the Heartlanders staff will open a multitude of doors for future community partnerships, as well as increase the depth of connection with our current corporate partners, non-profits and other organizations. This is a truly exciting step for us as we build the future of the Heartlanders with a strong focus on becoming a larger and more visible part of the community, starting with our Opening Night on October 20 at Xtream Arena.” 

Phill Seebeck comes to the Heartlanders from ImOn Communications.

Pottebaum joins the Heartlanders after serving as the Director of Operations for the Iowa City Area Development Group (ICAD) since 2016. While at ICAD, Pottebaum connected businesses with meaningful opportunities, resources, and support to help grow the economy in the greater Iowa City area. Seebeck comes to the Heartlanders after serving as Business Sales Executive at ImOn Communications. During his time at ImOn, he was integral in growing the customer base and establishing community connections throughout the ICR Corridor.  Seebeck is originally from the Quad Cities, is a Cornell College graduate and has lived in Johnson County for a decade. Outside of his professional life, Seebeck is an avid holiday-lights enthusiast, a live-music fan, an aspiring chef, and displays some Big Dad Energy. Contact Phill at phill@iowaheartlanders.com.
