Heartlanders bolster blue line, bring on Firriolo from Indy

Coralville, Iowa - The Iowa Heartlanders have acquired defenseman Anthony Firriolo from the Indy Fuel in exchange for future considerations, Head Coach and General Manager Derek Damon announced Friday.

Firriolo (pronounced: FIH-ree-OH-loh) has one goal in nine games with Indy this season.

Firriolo captained Army West Point last season and led Cadets blueliners in points each of the last two seasons. In 2022-23, he scored five goals and 29 points, second best on the team.

He is the second former Army graduate to join the Heartlanders, joining 2021-22 goaltender Trevin Kozlowski.
