Heartlanders add new $5 youth ticket games

Coralville, Iowa – The Iowa Heartlanders enjoyed their best weekend attendance in team history last weekend against the Wheeling Nailers. As part of the weekend, the team offered $5 youth tickets for fans under the age of 18 (with the purchase of an adult ticket).

Heartlanders team President Matt Getz announced $5 youth tickets will be back for games on Wednesday, Feb. 21 at 6:35 p.m. and Friday, March 22 at 6:35 p.m. Purchase tickets to these games by visiting this link or at the links above.

“I was very pleased with the turnout on Saturday, which saw 220+ youth tickets purchased,” said Matt Getz, Heartlanders Team President. “I think we saw signs that youth ticket pricing might be a driver of attendance, but we need to test that on different days of the week to see if that’s always the case, or if we just saw it work in a specific situation. To help us understand the validity of the youth ticket promotion, we’re going to see how it performs at a Wednesday and a Friday game. I want to prove that it works in every situation, but the only way to do that is to have the community show up again for our next two 'trial' games. They came out on Saturday, and I hope they’ll do that again on February 21 and March 22.”

The Heartlanders return home Feb. 7 for the start of a seven-game homestand. The Heartlanders take on Kalamazoo on Wed., Feb. 7 at 6:35 p.m. at Xtream Arena. Iowa hosts Country Night, presented by KISS Country, on Fri., Feb. 9 at 6:35 p.m. vs. Cincinnati. The game features $6 domestic drafts and $3.50 fountain drinks. On Sat., Feb. 10 at 6:05 p.m. vs. Cincinnati, Iowa is home again for Cancer Awareness Night pres. by iHeartMedia.
