Kalamazoo, MI – The Iowa Heartlanders, proud ECHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild and Iowa Wild, play their second of three straight against the Kalamazoo Wings Saturday at 6:00 p.m.
The Heartlanders bested the Wings, 2-1, Friday night for their fifth win of the season series (5-1-1-0 record). Yuki Miura scored the game-winning goal with 1:52 to go, elevating it over Hunter Vorva for his first game-winning goal of the season.
Iowa is playing its final game of the weekend and returns home for seven straight games starting next Wednesday vs. Kalamazoo at 6:35 p.m.
The K-Wings visit Fort Wayne Sunday, then come to Coralville Wednesday.
Iowa remains six points back of Indy for the fourth and final playoff spot in the Central Division. The Heartlanders trail the Wings by two points in the Central Division.

Saturday is the final time the Heartlanders visit Wings Event Center this season; Iowa is 2-1-1-0 this season at Kalamazoo. The final three games of the 11-game series are at Xtream Arena on Feb. 7, Apr. 10 and Apr. 12.
This marks the earliest in a season (game 42) that Iowa will conclude its road games against Kalamazoo.
Each of the last two seasons, the teams have played in either March or April at Wings Event Center
