Heartlanders on four-game points streak
Coralville, Iowa – The Iowa Heartlanders, proud ECHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild and Iowa Wild, continue a seven-game homestand with back-to-back games against the Cincinnati Cyclones starting Friday at 6:35 p.m.
The Heartlanders are on a four-game points streak, tied for the team’s longest since a franchise-best nine-game run in November.
In Iowa’s last game, the Heartlanders forced overtime in the final five minutes, earning a tying strike from Yuki Miura, but the Wings stopped Iowa’s two attempts in the shootout to win, 2-1.
The Heartlanders have won back-to-back games against Cincinnati and are 2-2-1-0 in the series.
The Cyclones last played Saturday at Fort Wayne and fell, 7-1.

Miura knack for the late game heroics
Iowa Heartlanders forward Yuki Miura scored with 4:30 to go, sending Iowa to overtime with a tying goal. He has six goals this season and all of them have either given Iowa a lead or tied the game.
The 5-foot-11, 185-lb., right-handed shot has scored 27 times in his ECHL career. He is the Heartlanders’ all-time games played leader (156).
Season Series
The Heartlanders have won back-to-back games in the season series and are 2-2-1-0 against the ‘Clones this season. All of the games have been high scoring; the winning team has scored at least five goals in every game. Iowa has scored at least four goals in a game ten times this entire season, and four of those games have come against Cincinnati.
The last time these teams played, Iowa’s Chris Lipe scored into an empty net in the final minute of the game to secure a 6-4 victory on Jan. 24. That marked the first time ever Iowa defeated the Cyclones at Heritage Bank Center.
The Heartlanders are 1-0-0-0 this season at Xtream Arena against Cincinnati.
Will Calverley tops Iowa with five assists and six points in the season series. Yuki Miura is second on the team with five points. 16 Heartlanders have scored at least a goal in the series.
Cincinnati’s Sahil Panwar leads all players in the series with four goals and nine points. He scored a career-best five points and registered a hat trick against the Heartlanders in December.
