Heartlanders home for final six games of regular season

Independence, MO – The Iowa Heartlanders dropped, 3-1, in their final road game of the regular season against the Kansas City Mavericks Saturday at Cable Dahmer Arena. Iowa plays their final six games of the regular season at home, starting Wed., Apr. 3 vs. Toledo at 6:35 p.m.

Iowa struck first at 4:25 of the first period; Casey Dornbach twisted in his 12^th of the season at the left post. On the play, Kevin McKernan’s slap shot from the blue line struck off a body to Louis Boudon. Next, Boudon curled it from the slot to a wide-open Dornbach at the left post. Boudon is riding a five-game points streak. 

Kansas City’s Patrick Curry scored his 34^th of the season (2^nd in ECHL) to tie the game eight minutes later. 

Iowa outshot the Mavericks, 11-6, in a scoreless second frame. 

Curry scored his second of the game at 3:03 of the third. Kyle Jackson netted a power-play goal with 11:18 left, making it 3-1 Kansas City. 

Drew DeRidder dropped despite 27 saves. Cale Morris blocked 28 in victory.

Renewal Process: The Heartlanders have started the renewal process for full season plans (Rose Club memberships) for the 2024-25 season, and the renewal application is now available online here. Once you log in, simply click “Season Renewal Application” under the “My Tickets” tab on the right, then complete the process. Our sales representatives are available to help with the renewal process by calling 319-855-1775. You can also stop by the Mediacom Season Ticket Table behind section 109 at any future game to secure your seat for the 2024-2025 season. 

The Heartlanders have added new seating options for the 2024-25 season, debuting Attack Zone Lower, Attack Zone Upper, Defense Zone, and Corner sections to allow fans additional price points to fit their budget. 

To retain your seats for the 2024-25 season, a $50 deposit per seat must be made by March 24. On March 25, all seats without deposits will be released and available for purchase by new season ticket holders.
