Heartlanders ready to head home after Saturday road game


 

Independence, MO – The Iowa Heartlanders, proud ECHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild and Iowa Wild, play their final road game of the season Saturday at 6:05 p.m. against the Kansas City Mavericks. 

 

Saturday is the third game of the week for Iowa at Kansas City. The teams have played twice this week and the Heartlanders are looking for their first win. 

 

Friday, Iowa goaltenders combined for 43 saves (33 by Hunter Jones, 10 by Peyton Jones), but Iowa allowed an insurance goal halfway through the third in a 4-2 defeat. Iowa also fell narrowly, 3-2, Wednesday at Cable Dahmer Arena.

 

The Heartlanders will enjoy the final six games of the ECHL regular season at home; all six games will be against teams currently in playoff positioning. The final home stand starts with three games against 2024 Central Division champion Toledo on Wednesday, Apr. 3 at 6:35, Friday, Apr. 5 at 6:35 p.m. and Saturday, Apr. 6 at 6:05 p.m.

 

Iowa plays three games the next week at home on Wednesday, Apr. 10 at 6:35 vs. Kalamazoo, Friday, Apr. 12 at 6:35 p.m. against Kalamazoo and Saturday, Apr. 13 at 6:05 p.m. against Kansas City.

All-Time Series

Iowa has an all-time record of 6-10-4-0 against the Mavericks. During Iowa’s inaugural season, the Heartlanders won five times and went 5-2-2-0 against the Mavericks.

 

Iowa has never lost in regulation to Kansas City at Xtream Arena (4-0-3-0). The Heartlanders have won twice at Cable Dahmer Arena, last coming Mar. 5, 2022 during a seven-game win streak.  

 

Summarizing a year on the road 

The Heartlanders are completing their “shortest” road trip of the year Saturday against Kansas City (3 games). Every other Iowa road stretch has lasted at least four games and the Heartlanders have played three road trips that have gone at least seven games. Iowa won four road games (4-4-2-0) over a league-long ten-game road trip from Nov. 22 – Dec. 10. 

 

Iowa earned a 12-9-2-1 record on the road against Central Division foes this season. 

 

Additionally, the Heartlanders have five come-from-behind victories away from Xtream Arena this season. 

 

Louis Boudon leads Iowa with 16 goals this season and a team-best 11 have come on the road.

Renewal Process: The Heartlanders have started the renewal process for full season plans (Rose Club memberships) for the 2024-25 season, and the renewal application is now available online here. Once you log in, simply click “Season Renewal Application” under the “My Tickets” tab on the right, then complete the process. Our sales representatives are available to help with the renewal process by calling 319-855-1775. You can also stop by the Mediacom Season Ticket Table behind section 109 at any future game to secure your seat for the 2024-2025 season. 

 

The Heartlanders have added new seating options for the 2024-25 season, debuting Attack Zone Lower, Attack Zone Upper, Defense Zone, and Corner sections to allow fans additional price points to fit their budget. 

 

To retain your seats for the 2024-25 season, a $50 deposit per seat must be made by March 24. On March 25, all seats without deposits will be released and available for purchase by new season ticket holders.
