All-time series

The Heartlanders have beaten Toledo five times ever and three of those wins have come at Huntington Center. Coincidentally, Iowa has a better record at Toledo than at Xtream Arena.

The team to score first has won 17 of the 21 all-time meetings, and both teams have three come-from-behind wins.

Toledo has scored the game’s first goal 18 times ever against Iowa.

Road trip update

The Heartlanders are in the back end of a seven-game road trip, playing their fifth straight game away from Xtream Arena Sunday. Iowa has three road trips this season that last at least seven games. That includes a ten-game road trip that finished up in early December.

So far, Iowa has traveled about 1,500 miles on the seven-game trip.

In total, the Heartlanders are on the road for about 3,000 miles over this seven-game trip, next returning home to face off against Wheeling Mar. 13-16.

Last time at Huntington Center

Iowa is facing Toledo for the last time at Huntington Center this regular season on Sunday. The teams play three more times this regular season; Apr. 3, Apr. 5 and Apr. 6 at Xtream Arena.

Toledo is currently the top seed in the Central Division and Iowa is looking to work their way back into a top-four slot. The best four teams in the Central Division qualify for the Kelly Cup Playoffs. Should Toledo win the Central Division, they will play the four-seed in the Central in the opening round of the postseason.
