Bolton named Heartlanders new Dir. Of Marketing & Game Presentation

Coralville, Iowa – Autumn Bolton has been tabbed the Iowa Heartlanders Director of Marketing & Game Presentation, the team announced Thursday. Bolton will be key in the management, development and implementation of marketing, communication, and fan experience strategy for the Heartlanders, as well as the execution of those plans to generate revenue and increase attendance. 

Bolton joins the Heartlanders from the Air Force Academy, where she served as Assistant Director of Marketing for Air Force Athletics since 2021. While at Air Force, Bolton oversaw all marketing initiatives for hockey and women’s basketball, as well as on-field promotions for Falcons football. 

“I am incredibly excited to have Autumn joining us,” President Matt Getz said. “We have a great deal of work to do in establishing the Heartlanders brand and identity in our local communities, as well as in creating a more engaging and entertaining experience at our home games. Autumn’s track record of creativity and successful execution – along with her attitude and mindset - made this an easy decision. Within the first five minutes, I knew she was the right person to provide what we’ve been missing as an organization.”

“I accepted this position not only for my passion for hockey but for the opportunities this role will give me,” Bolton said. “As the Director of Marketing and Game Presentation, I plan on bringing new ideas and enhancing the game experience for Iowa Heartlanders fans.”

In her first few weeks with the Heartlanders, Bolton will be focusing on the creation of exciting theme nights and a marketing plan for the 2024-25 season. She will also work with the Heartlanders sales team on the development and execution of the team’s new 5-game ticket plan, which will be announced in the next few weeks and feature the most-exciting promotional nights for the team in the 2024-25 season.

Before arriving at Air Force, the Quakertown, PA native served as a marketing graduate assistant at Temple University for two years and received a Master’s degree in sports business from Temple in 2020. Bolton is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Sports Administration with a concentration in business in 2018.
