Coralville, Iowa – Iowa Heartlanders Director of Communications David Fine has been named a finalist for ECHL Broadcaster of the Year, which will be presented at the 2023-24 ECHL Team Awards on Wednesday, June 26. He has been named a finalist for the award all three years he’s been with the Heartlanders.

Originally from Bloomfield, NJ, Fine has made the Iowa City area his home since moving to the Midwest to become the team’s first-ever Director of Communications in May 2021. A proud graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, Fine is entering his seventh year as a professional hockey broadcaster in 2024-25.
He lives in Iowa City with his girlfriend Kate and their golden retriever Molly.
