Heartlanders bolster sales team, hire four new account executives

Coralville, Iowa – The Iowa Heartlanders front office continues to expand, adding Avery Martensen, Drake Powell, Savanna Argenti and Aaron Gold as account executives. The four will be responsible for increasing ticket and sponsorship revenue and creating new business opportunities for the Heartlanders. 

The team’s four newest account executives are ready to help you plan your next Heartlanders experience at Xtream Arena. Full-season tickets are currently on sale, and deposits can be placed for partial season plans, group outings, birthday parties, suites and the United Iowa Financial Party Plaza. The Heartlanders have more people working in their front office now (13) than at any time in team history.

“While we are uniquely positioned for our fanbase to grow exponentially this season, we needed to make sure we brought in the right people that will help us exceed our goals,” said Director of Ticket Sales Jacob Pellegrino. “Avery, Aaron, Drake and Savanna are great people who will work tirelessly to generate revenue and provide our fans with elite customer service.” 

Avery Martensen joins the Heartlanders after spending the last two years working in ticket operations for the University of Iowa’s Athletics Department. He is a 2023 graduate of the Sports & Recreation Management program at Iowa and is a Monticello, IA native. Drake Powell is also a proud Hawkeye graduate of the Sports & Recreation Management program at the University of Iowa. The Williamsburg, IA native has worked in a handful of sales roles before joining the Heartlanders, including at Rally House in Coralville. Savanna Argenti, a Troy University graduate, brings experience working in college athletics and minor league sports to the team. She worked at Troy’s athletic department in marketing and communications before graduating in 2023, then joined the Columbus River Dragons (FPHL) minor league hockey team as their marketing manager. Aaron Gold arrives in Iowa for his first opportunity working in professional sports. He started his collegiate time as a tennis player at Johnson & Wales University and graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA in 2023. After graduating, he served as a sales associate at The Edge Fitness Clubs in the Philadelphia suburbs for the last year.
