Big Game, TV Game

Iowa is playing its second game of the season on Mediacom MC22. Eight of Iowa’s biggest games are broadcasted on MC22. Earlier this season on MC22, Iowa forced OT in dramatic fashion with a penalty shot goal in the final three minutes vs. Fort Wayne, earning a point in the second game of the season.

Why is Crispy Bacon Night so unique

The night pays homage to our proud tradition of pork and pigs in the state of Iowa. It’s estimated that there are about 23 million pigs in the Hawkeye State, compared to about 4 million people.

The Heartlanders are creating the most-unique bacon atmosphere in the ECHL with Bacon Thundersticks, in-game bacon activities, and pork eating contests. Get your day started at a free pregame party from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at the Hyatt.

Also a huge thanks to our partners for Saturday’s game; the Hyatt Regency in Coralville and iHeartRadio.

New face makes his way to Coralville

The Heartlanders agreed to an ECHL contract with forward Aidan Litke, a 21-year old rookie from Winnipeg, MB.

Litke skated in five games with Wichita earlier this season. A former teammate of Heartlanders forward Jack O’Brien at WHL Portland, Litke produced 78 points (35g) and 111 penalty minutes in 132 ECHL games.

Litke stands 6-foot-1 and weighs 192 pounds.
