Coralville, Iowa – The Iowa Heartlanders (13-5-3-0, 29 points) have won a season-best six straight games and finish the week at home against the Toledo Walleye (14-6-3-0, 31 points) Friday at 7:00 p.m. Friday is Teddy Bear Toss Night + Wild Affiliation Night, pres. by Atlantic Bottling. After the Heartlanders score their first goal, toss those teddies and they'll be donated to families in need this holiday season.
The Heartlanders have a generated a +12 goal differential over the six-game winning streak. Wednesday morning vs. Toledo, defenseman Bogdans Hodass scored late in the second, Dakota Raabe added an empty-net goal and William Rousseau registered his second career shutout with 41 saves for a 2-0 victory.
Toledo is first in the Central Division, two points in front of second-place Iowa.

Season Series
The Heartlanders have won back-to-back games against Toledo for the second time in team history, and first since Dec. 2021 in the team’s inaugural season.
Iowa came from behind for a 3-2 overtime victory Dec. 4, and followed that up with a 2-0 victory Wednesday.
Five Heartlanders have scored in the season series and Dakota Raabe, Will Calverley and Drew McLean each have two points.
Will The Thrill (there are multiple)
William Rousseau and Will Calverley each had standout efforts in Wednesday’s 2-0 win. Rousseau made a career-high 41 saves, including 17 saves in the third, to shut out the Walleye. Meanwhile, Calverley earned another assist and set up Bogdans Hodass’ game-winning strike late in the second.
Rousseau, 21, has won three straight games and is on a personal five-game point streak (4-0-1-0) in net. He improved to a 2.29 goals-against average and .929 save percentage on the season after Wednesday’s win.
Meanwhile, the alternate captain Calverley is first among active Heartlanders with seven goals and 14 points. Last season, the native of Scarborough, ON generated eight goals and 21 points in 39 games.
