Coralville, Iowa – The Iowa Heartlanders (8-5-3-0, 19 points) face the Bloomington Bison (8-8-0-1, 17 points) in the sixth consecutive meeting between the Central Division does Sunday at 3:00 p.m.
The Heartlanders have won four games and gotten points in six against Bloomington this season series. Iowa is 4-3-2-0 against the Bison with six more games to go.
Saturday on Crispy Bacon Night, Iowa dominated in shots (47-20 advantage) and Ryan Miotto scored twice in a 3-1 win. Mark Sinclair denied 44 shots, but Will Calverley put it away with an empty-net goal in the final two minutes.
The Heartlanders take to the road next week for three games against Toledo (Wednesday) and Indy (Friday and Saturday).

The Heartlanders are playing their 17th game of the season and their tenth against Bloomington Sunday. This is the record for “quickest to ten” against any opponent in Heartlanders history.
The Heartlanders face Bloomington five more times this season, but only twice after December. Following a Dec. 20-21 home-and-home series, the Heartlanders connect with the Bison Feb. 19 and Mar 7-8.
The 15-game season series is the most Iowa has ever played any opponent in a single season. Before this season, Iowa had never faced a team more than 11 times in a year (Kalamazoo 2x, Indy 1x).
Taking stock as we end November
The Heartlanders have won eight games through November, tying the best record in team history through the first two months. Last season, Iowa was also 8-5-3-0 through November.
