Coralville, Iowa – The Iowa Heartlanders (21-11-3-1, 46 points) take on the Tahoe Knight Monsters (22-11-2-1, 47 points) in the second of three games on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. for Wild, Wild, Midwest Night.
In Iowa’s last game, rookies dominated the ice. Jonny Sorenson recorded his first career hat trick, T.J. Walsh scored a career-high three points (3a), and William Rousseau made 35 saves.
The Heartlanders have won six straight games for the second time this season (Nov.30 - Dec.11).
Iowa is second in the Central Division. Tahoe is tied for first in the Mountain Division.

First Time Foes
The Iowa Heartlanders are hosting the Tahoe Knight Monsters for the first time ever at Xtream Arena this weekend. This series is the only time the two teams meet this season.
Tahoe is the second inaugural-season team that Iowa has faced this season (Bloomington). In April, Iowa will face the Norfolk Admirals for the first time in team history.
The Heartlanders have a 1-0-0-0 record facing Tahoe.

Tahoe is tied for first in the Mountain Division with 47 points and a record of 22-11-2-1. In their last ten games, they have a record of 6-3-1-0 and entered the week 5th overall in the ECHL in points percentage. Entering the week, numerous Monsters led the league in offensive categories, including Sloan Stanick who tops rookies with 17 goals.
Tahoe has been on the road since January 3rd and is 4-3-0-0 on their nine-game road trip.
