Cincinnati, OH – The Iowa Heartlanders (21-11-4-2, 48 points) are on the road to take on the Cincinnati Cyclones (14-20-5-0, 33 points) Friday at 6:35 p.m.
Iowa went 4-0-1-1 over the team's most-recent six-game homestand and the Heartlanders are riding a season-best eight-game point streak. In Iowa’s last seven home games, the Landers are 5-0-1-1, their second-longest home point streak of the season. In Iowa’s last game Sunday vs. Tahoe, the Landers fell in overtime, 3-2.
The the Cyclones are 8-1-1-0 in their last ten games and have at least a point in four straight. Cincinnati last played on Monday vs. Toledo and earned a 2-1 victory.
The Heartlanders are ranked second in the Central Division and the Cyclones are sixth in the Central Division.

Rousseau named Midseason All-Star
Heartlanders goaltender William Rousseau became the second Iowa goaltender to be named an All-Star Wednesday, joining 2023-24 selection Peyton Jones. The rookie is fourth in the league with a 2.18 goals-against average and second with a .930 save percentage. He leads ECHL rookies in both categories and owns a 9-2-3-0 record with two shutouts. Over his last ten starts, Rousseau is 8-0-2-0 and has allowed 18 goals.
Rousseau, a native of Trois-Rivieres, QC, signed an ECHL contract with Iowa this offseason and has earned multiple call-ups to the Iowa Wild. Earlier this month, the Wild rewarded the 22-year-old with a two-year AHL contract.
Season Series
This is the third of nine meetings between the Heartlanders and the Cyclones this season. The teams play four times over the next month, three of which are at Heritage Bank Center.
The first two games of the series were at Cincinnati and Iowa earned a road split. In the first game of the series on Dec. 17, Iowa fell 4-1. The following night, on Dec. 18, Jules Boscq scored in overtime and the Heartlanders won, 3-2.
