Coralville, Iowa - The Iowa Wild, AHL affiliate of the Iowa Heartlanders, have signed goaltender William Rousseau to two-way AHL contract for the remainder of the 2024-25 season and a one-year, one-way AHL contract for the 2025-26 season. The team has also recalled Rousseau from the Heartlanders.
Rousseau, 22, is the reigning ECHL Goaltender of the Month. He went 5-0-0-0 in December for the Heartlanders with a 1.19 goals-against average and .969 save percentage. He was the first goaltender in Heartlanders history to win a goalie of the month recognition.
For the season, Rousseau is third in the ECHL in goals-against average (2.05), fourth in save percentage (.932) and boasts and 8-2-2-0 record.
With the Iowa Wild, Rousseau has played in two games, allowing five goals (2.51 GAA, .918 sv. %, 0-1-1 record).
