Coralville, Iowa – The Iowa Heartlanders (27-16-4-3, 61 points) have won back-to-back games and complete a homestand vs. the Bloomington Bison (21-23-2-2, 46 points) Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday marks the final home game of the 15-game season series between Iowa and Bloomington; the Heartlanders have three matchups left against the Bison this season.
Iowa is coming off a thrilling 5-4 shootout win against first-place Toledo Saturday. Iowa trailed twice – 1-0 and 3-2 – and earned their third come-from-behind win of the season series vs. Toledo. Timmy Kent the shootout-winning goal and William Rousseau blocked 34 shots for the win.
Bloomington last played Sunday at home and fell to Toledo, 5-2.
The Heartlanders are second in the Central Division and the Bison are tied with Indy for fourth in the Central Division. The top-four teams in each division qualify for the Kelly Cup Playoffs.

- Three Heartlanders have at least 15 goals – Ryan Miotto (16), Yuki Miura and T.J. Walsh. Iowa and Toledo are the only Central Division teams to have three players with at least 15 tallies.
- The Heartlanders are 15-5-3-2 at home this season.
- Chris Lipe scored his second goal of the season Saturday, and first since Dec. 21 vs. Bloomington.
Season Series
The Heartlanders haven’t played Bloomington since Dec. 21, a rare break in what’s been a busy season series. Iowa played the Bison 12 times in the first 26 games of the season (and ten times in the first 17 games).
Iowa is 6-4-2-0 in the series vs. the Bison, and 5-1-1-0 at home. Dakota Raabe, T.J. Walsh and Jules Boscq lead the Heartlanders with seven points vs. Bloomington. Chongmin Lee (14 points) and Eddie Matsushima (10 points) top the Bison in series points.
Noel providing offense
Iowa forward Nathan Noel has four points in his last five games, his first points of the regular season. The seventh-year professional started this season with Indy and skated in fifteen games. Since Iowa picked him up in late January, he has one goal, three assists and a plus-two rating. He has also skated on the power play, penalty kill and in overtime for Iowa.
For his career, the 5-foot-11, 174-lb., right-handed shot has 53 points and 331 penalty minutes in 163 career ECHL games.
