Coralville, Iowa – The Iowa Heartlanders (22-13-4-3, 51 points) take on the Kalamazoo Wings (15-22-1-1, 32 points) for the second game of a weekend homestand Saturday at 6:00 p.m.
On Friday, the Heartlanders fell in in one of the wackiest games in team history, a 7-6 shootout loss. Iowa scored the first two goals, the K-Wings tallied the next five and Iowa scored two in the final half of the third to steal a point. Four Iowa players earned multiple points in the defeat (Dakota Raabe, Yuki Miura, Ryan Miotto, Jules Boscq, Will Zmolek).
The Heartlanders are tied for second in the Central Division with Fort Wayne. Kalamazoo is seventh in the Central Division.
