Bloomington, IL – The Iowa Heartlanders (31-17-4-4, 70 points) are at the Bloomington Bison (23-27-3-2, 51 points) to start a back-to-back Friday at 7:00 p.m. This is the 14th matchup of the season series and the series concludes Saturday in Bloomington.
The Heartlanders are 6-1-1-0 in their last eight games and picked up a win in their last game Sunday at Indy. Yuki Miura registered a goal and an assist in the third period to help Iowa pull away for a 4-2 win.
Bloomington is coming off a 4-3 defeat at home Wednesday vs. Fort Wayne.
The Heartlanders are third in the Central Division with 70 points, one point back of Fort Wayne. The Bison are locked in a three-way tie for the fourth and final playoff spot with Cincinnati and Indy.

Rousseau does it again
Goaltender William Rousseau is 3-0-0-1 in his last four games following a 27-save win over Indy last Sunday. The 22-year-old rookie has lost just once in regulation since Nov. 3, compiling a 14-1-2-2 record over that span. From Nov. 16 – Feb. 12, the Trois-Rivieres, QC native went 14 straight without a regulation loss, the best personal stretch for any goaltender in Heartlanders history.
For the season, Rousseau is 15-3-3-2 with a 2.49 goals-against average and .918 save percentage.
Rookie leaders
Rookies T.J. Walsh (35 points) and Ryan Miotto (33 points) are among the most-prolific rookie point producers in the league. Each entered this week top-20 in the league among rookies in points. Walsh is tied with Yuki Miura for the team lead in points and ranks third on the team with 16 goals, one behind Miotto.
Miotto had the highest-scoring month of his career in February, compiling four goals and 13 points.
The Heartlanders got each from other ECHL teams; Walsh had skated for Wichita (preseason) and Orlando before joining Iowa and Miotto was on Wheeling to end last regular season.
