The Heartlanders are coming off a ten-game road trip (3-4-2-1 record), ending last weekend in Rapid City. In the three-game series, Iowa went 0-2-1-0 against the Rush despite only allowing three goals at even strength and two goals at 5-on-5. On Friday, Zach Dubinsky scored half way through the third to force overtime in a 4-3 loss.
Fort Wayne is in the midst of a seven-game road trip. Last week started the road-trip with three games, starting with a 3-1 loss on Friday to Wheeling, followed up with a 5-3 win the following night at the Nailers. On Sunday, Fort Wayne travelled to face Indy and came out with another victory, 4-2.

Season Series
Iowa has not played Fort Wayne since a weekend series at the beginning of the season and have only played twice (Oct. 18-19). Both were one-goal games; the Heartlanders went 0-1-1-0 in those. Iowa only has five games scheduled against Fort Wayne, the fewest Iowa has faced Fort Wayne in a single season.
On Oct. 18, Iowa lost, 6-5, to the Komets. Jack O’Brien scored a power-play goal late but Iowa was unable to overcome the deficit. The following night, Matt Sop scored to tie the game on a penalty shot with less than three minutes left in regulation, but Iowa ultimately fell, 2-1, in overtime. That is the only penalty shot attempt of Iowa’s season.
Finally Home
Last weekend, Iowa finished a ten-game road trip, tying a team record. Over the road trip, the team travelled over 4,000 miles.
Over the course of the trip, the Heartlanders earned points in six of their ten games played on the road, going 3-4-2-1.
Keltie Jeri-Leon led the team with seven assists, nine points and 28 shots on goal. Yuki Miura was best on the squad with six goals (8pts). 19 Heratlanders registered at least a point over the road trip and 15 scored a goal.
