Coralville, Iowa – The Iowa Heartlanders are tied, 2-2, in their best-of-seven series against the Fort Wayne Komets and host their final home game of the series in Game 5 of the Central Division Semifinals Thursday at 7:05 p.m.

 

Get up to two (2) free youth tickets when fans purchase a full-price ticket. This is available online only at this link (not available at box office)!!!!

 

Game 6 and Game 7 (if necessary) will be in Fort Wayne on Sunday at 4:05 p.m. and Tuesday at 6:35 p.m. For Game 6 Sunday, the Heartlanders and Field Day Brewing Company in North Liberty are hosting a free watch party for the game, with prizes and giveaways for fans in attendance.

 

In Game 4 Tuesday, Heartlanders defenseman Zeteny Hadobas scored seven minutes into double overtime to win the game, 3-2.

Game 4 Recap

Defenseman Zeteny Hadobas scored his first-ever playoff goal at 7:07 of the second overtime to earn a 3-2 victory for the Heartlanders over Fort Wayne in game 4. Matthew Sop recorded three assists. Jack O’Brien scored once and earned the primary helper on the OT winner.

 

Mike Koster notched two points (1g-1a). William Rousseau made 32 saves in the victory for his first playoff win.

 

Koster opened up the scoring 13 minutes into the first period with his first pro goal. Sop and Dakota Raabe were credited with the assists. In the final minutes of the period, O’Brien notched a back-door, power-play goal to extend Iowa’s lead to 2-0. Koster and Sop earned their second points of the game with the assists. 

 

Nathaniel Day made 35 saves in the defeat.

 

Hadobas with a shining moment

Zeteny Hadobas scored his second goal of the season (and first of the playoffs) to end Game 4. This season, the 22-year-old registered 14 points, 34 penalty minutes and a +4 rating over 54 games with the Heartlanders. Hadobas spent the last two seasons in Sweden, where he split time between junior leagues and multiple pro leagues. The Budapest, Hungary native has also spent pro time playing in Slovakia and Hungary since 2020-21.
