Iowa owns a 5-3-2-0 record when playing for the third consecutive day. Norfolk is 4-5-1-0 in the last game of a three-in-three.
The Heartlanders are 3-1-1-0 in the team’s last six Sunday games.
Let’s learn about the North
Like the Heartlanders, Norfolk is headed to the Kelly Cup Playoffs as each time battles for home-ice advantage in the first round. The Admirals joined the North Division three seasons ago, and the division consists of teams in six states (Wheeling, Norfolk, Reading, Worcester, Maine, Adirondack) and the province of Quebec (Trois-Rivieres). Norfolk is the team furthest “south” in the North Division, and they played mainly in the South Division over most of their ECHL time.
This season, Trois-Rivieres, Wheeling and Norfolk have locked up spots in the Kelly Cup Playoffs. Reading and Worcester are battling for the fourth and final spot.
