Coralville, Iowa — The Iowa Heartlanders, proud ECHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild and Iowa Wild, announced that defenseman Carter Allen has inked an ECHL deal for the 2025-26 season. The Lambton Shores, ON native got his first taste of playoff action with the Jacksonville Icemen last season and totaled eight points (1g) in 45 regular season games.

Allen is preparing for his fifth professional season. He previously played for the South Carolina Stingrays (1g, 11a, 82 GP), Cincinnati Cyclones (0g, 1a, 8 GP), and Jacksonville Icemen. He also spent a year with the Coventry Blaze of the EIHL, scoring 6 points (0g) in 45 games. Allen spent his collegiate career with SUNY-Oswego, totalling 22 points (4g) in 81 games.
