Coralville, Iowa – The Iowa Heartlanders (17-28-3-2, 39 pts.) have points in five straight games and wrap up a season-long seven-game homestand against the Bloomington Bison (25-21-2-2, 54 pts.) Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
The Heartlanders are coming off a successful five-point week; Iowa bested Wichita, 6-3, and Cincinnati, 2-0 to start the week, then earned a point in front of Iowa’s best crowd of the regular season in a 3-2 OTL Saturday vs. the Cyclones.
Iowa is taking on Bloomington for the first time in 2.5 months (Nov. 30), and the Heartlanders gear up for seven more games against the Bison of Iowa’s final 21 contests. The clubs have a pair of three-game series coming up Mar. 20-22 and Apr. 15-18.
Iowa is 4-1-1-0 on this homestand and has four multi-goal wins. The club next plays at home Mar. 18 at 7:00 p.m. for Luck of the Landers vs. Kansas City.
The Bison last played Sunday vs. Maine and dropped, 5-2, despite a pair of goals from Kyle Jackson

The Heartlanders are 2-3-1-0 in the season series vs. the Bison and went 1-1-1-0 against Bloomington the last time the teams played three games in a row (Nov. 26, 28, 30) on Thanksgiving week.
Each team has scored the game’s first goal three times and each has one come-from-behind win in the series.
Kyle Jackson leads all players with ten points in the season series and is tied with Eddie Matsushima for most goals (4).
Iowa has six players with multiple goals vs. Bloomington, led by Keltie Jeri-Leon (3g, 1a).
