Coralville, Iowa - The Iowa Heartlanders have signed forward Grant Ahcan and defenseman T.J. Schweighardt to their first professional contracts, Chuck Weber announced Tuesday.
Ahcan captained St. Cloud State University this season, his fourth season at the school and registered four goals and nine points this season. The Savage, MN native skated for Cedar Rapids (USHL) and Bismarck (NAHL) before going to NCAA.
Schweighardt finished up his fourth season at UMass-Lowell in 2025-26 and scored a career-high 17 points (4g). The Wayne, NJ native played in at least 30 games in his last three seasons on campus.
The Heartlanders host Kansas City for Luck of the Landers Wed., Mar. 18 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets start at $10 for all Heartlanders home games.
