Heartlanders announce roster moves

Coralville, Iowa – The Iowa Heartlanders, proud ECHL affiliate of the Minnesota Wild and Iowa Wild, announced the following roster moves Wednesday. 

 

  1. Forward Brett Budgell has been recalled from loan by the Iowa Wild. 
  2. Forward Casey Dornbach has been recalled from loan by the Iowa Wild. 
  3. The Heartlanders have acquired forward Ty Enns from Rapid City in exchange for future considerations. 
  4. The Heartlanders have claimed forward Vincent de Mey off waivers. 

 

Budgell has scored five goals and 13 points in 18 games this season. The second-year professional generated 52 points (16g) for ECHL Newfoundland last season. 

 

Dornbach, a rookie, ranks fourth on Iowa with 16 points in 19 games. He scored his fourth goal of the season in the Heartlanders’ last game at Rapid City. 

 

Enns, 25, is in his rookie season and has scored one goal and 5 points in 14 games this season combined between Rapid City and Kansas City. He won the 2022 NCAA Division III championship with Adrian College and scored 140 points (65g) in four Division III seasons. 

 

de Mey, 26, has played in 17 games for Fort Wayne this season. The native of Los Angeles, CA scored seven goals last season at Northern Michigan and played five seasons at the NCAA level. 

 

The Heartlanders are next at home Mon., Jan. 15 at 2:05 p.m. vs. Cincinnati – schools are off for the day and bring your kids out for a great day at Xtream Arena.

 

Iowa continues a three-game homestand vs. Wheeling on Fri., Jan. 19 at 6:35 p.m. on Affiliation Night presented by DASH Auctions, celebrating Iowa’s proud affiliation with the Minnesota Wild and Iowa Wild. On Sat., Jan. 20 at 6:05 p.m. against Wheeling, the Heartlanders are back at Xtream Arena for Dash’s Birthday Party, presented by Paul Park Real Estate. Join the Heartlanders mascot Dash and dozens of his mascot friends for a family-friendly Saturday night at Xtream Arena.
